The flat-topped flower heads have dense clusters of bright blue-violet flowers. A good show of color from mid summer to early fall. Plants will spread rapidly and aggressively in garden soil.
A very adaptable plant that will grow in wet areas and is also drought tolerant. Can be cut back to strengthen stems if grown in rich soil, or plants will 'flop' when flowering.
